Life, Explained
Questions for the Master explores the questions that touch every part of our lives: relationships, family, work, money, self-esteem, jealousy, attachment, happiness, and personal growth.
People from all walks of life bring their real questions and struggles to Master Cheon Gong, whom his students call Seuseungnim, or Great Mentor. As a Korean teacher, Seuseungnim offers a deeper perspective on why difficulties arise in our lives, what they may be teaching us, and how we can grow through them.
Through the teachings of Jungbub, Seuseungnim explains the principles of human relationships, society, and Grand Nature in practical ways that can be applied to everyday life.
Each episode begins with a question: sometimes deeply personal, sometimes universal, and invites us to look beyond the problem itself to discover a deeper understanding of our lives and circumstances.
These lectures have been carefully translated, proofread, and dubbed into English so that Seuseungnim's teachings can be shared with listeners around the world.

What should we actually write in a gratitude journal? And how can the practice become something deeper than simply listing the good things that happen to us?
In this episode, Seuseungnim explains that a gratitude journal should be simple and sincere. There is no need to make our words sound impressive or to force ourselves to feel grateful. We should simply record what we genuinely feel—even if that means writing, “I have not yet found what I am grateful for.”
But Seuseungnim takes the meaning of gratitude much deeper. The greatest gratitude, he explains, comes when we are given the opportunity to learn something we did not know and grow through that understanding. From this perspective, the knowledge, culture, relationships, circumstances, and experiences we encounter can all become conditions for developing ourselves.
He explains that the physical body is an instrument through which the soul grows and evolves. When we begin to understand why we are here and recognize the extraordinary environment humanity has inherited through the efforts and sacrifices of countless generations, our understanding of gratitude begins to change.
Eventually, gratitude is no longer limited to receiving something pleasant or having a comfortable life. When we understand Nature's Principles and begin seeing our experiences as opportunities for growth, everything in life can become something to be grateful for.
This teaching also reveals why sincerely recording our experiences and personal growth may become valuable not only for ourselves, but for generations to come.
